Article Marketing Success Story — Montana Gray Achieves #1 Google Ranking Out of 20,000 Responses!

Each week, I’m sharing a new article marketing success story to motivate and inspire you to start writing articles now. Previously, I told you how one of my customers gained a 90,000 euro contract and another one of my clients received a new $25,000 client just by marketing their businesses with articles.

Today,  I received this email from another customer of mine…

In 2003 – I wrote an article about internet marketing entitled “Acres of Diamonds – What Prosperity Might You Be Overlooking? — and sent it to learningfountain.com. The article has remained #1 on google since then — in front of more 20,000 responses when youtype in my name  “montana gray”

Here’s the bad news and a great lesson.  I did not keep the website I had back then, so I am getting no traffic from that #1 placement – unless someone tries to find me another way.”

However, it is POWERFUL proof that article marketing works.  One article, 7 years!  Still #1….NOT BAD!

Well, Montana — I have a couple more tips for you:

1. As you go through my online article writing course you’ll discover that you need to put your keywords up front so you can get more people to see your article.  No one is searching for “Acres of Diamonds.” You also will learn that you need to get specific within your article. “Acres of Diamonds” do not tell me what I will learn — and why I should read your article over the millions of article now found on the web.

2. Now, imagine if you had many more articles on the Web working for you bringing you in traffic — all ranking on the top pages of Google — and this time the link is pointed to an active squeeze page where you have a high value offer. Remember, your articles are sals agents working to promote your business, your website and your products or services 24 hours a day/365 days a year and they never quit! As you mentioned, 7 years and you’re article is still rankin #1 for your name out of 20,000 results!

Article Marketing Strategies to Save Affiliate Marketers From Heartache

Are you having a hard time promoting affiliate products within your articles so you can get more commissions?

In my Article Marketing Experts LinkedIn Group, Terri Brooks (a Certified Social Media Trainer, Consultant, Speaker and Author) mentioned that EzineArticles.com will flag any article that has an affiliate link in it and so will many top publishers. They are trying to avoid sales-only articles!

So how can affiliate marketers effectively use article marketing?

Article Marketing Strategies for Affiliate Marketers Who Want to Make More Money Online

1. Create a special report or ebook related to the topic of the product you’re trying to promote. If you don’t want to write, you can also create a video, series of videos or even a audio that people have to opt-in for. Create a squeeze page for this specific offer. For squeeze page help, check out http://www.livewebsitereviews.com/youtube. In your article bio box (resource box) add a link to the squeeze page with your high-value proposition. This way you can market to prospects on the back end. Plus, you can offer them additional products and resources. If you are just sending people to affiliate sales pages, if they become a customer, the person who owns the product you’re selling gets the customer for life. You just get a one-time commission instead of additional opportunities.

2. Become affiliates of similar programs that offer a free tool (even as a trial offer) or ebook. Then create a free tools page similar to www.freepublicitytools.com. And, notice how Dan Janal has an opt-in offer right up front. It can be stronger and I’d advise him to make the call-to-action more appealing but it’s right up front. On this page, youcan have additional articles and blog posts that promote the free tools. And, don’t forget to mention when you submit articles online, mention your free tools page in your bio box as everyone loves free tools

By following these strategies, affiliate marketers will get more exposure as their articles will actually get published. Plus they’ll have more opportunities to promote to prospects over and over again so they can make more money online!
