<p>“Which is the best article submission technique and why: manual submission, single site submission, outsourced submission, a software submitter or an article submission service?”</p>
<p>My answer…It depends on… <span id="more-854"></span></p>

<li>Your goals</li>
<li>Your needs</li>
<li>Your wants</li>
<li>And, what’s important to you</li>
</ul>
<p>To help you decide how you should submit your articles online, below, I broke down the various article submission methods. And, I explained each method’s pros and cons.</p>
<p><strong>The 5 Ways to Submit Your Articles Online – Fully Explained</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Manually submitting articles yourself – </strong>If you submit articles yourself, you save money. You don’t have to pay anyone to market your business for you. You’re not paying to have your articles published. And, you’re not paying for a single click. This marketing method is totally free! However, it does take a lot of time to submit articles the right way. And, it’s boring. Ask my article submission staff who manually submits the articles for our clients. It takes them a good 10+ hours per 100 targeted websites, ezines and article directories.</p>
<p><strong>2. Single-Site Article Submission – </strong>This is for those new article marketers getting their feet wet. You can become a guest blogger and submit articles to one site for now and then work your way up. But, remember, your articles are volunteer sales reps working for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They don’t take a vacation. The question is how many sales reps do you want working for you – for free? Don’t you want your articles published on as many targeted sites as possible so you get in front of as many prospects as possible?</p>
<p><strong>3. Article Submission Software – </strong>If you are looking to just build links and increase your SEO and that’s it, then yes, feel free to use this article submission software or the low-cost article submission services that sends your articles to thousands of article directories (many of them don’t get any website traffic at all!) But, I must tell you that article marketing is not just about building links. It’s about becoming a thought leader and gaining instant credibility. You don’t get that from an article directory site where anyone can get published including kids as long as you follow their guidelines. Article marketing is about getting your targeted messages in front of as many targeted prospects as possible. That’s why you’ll find my articles on sites like About.com, MarketingProfs, SiteProNews, Home Business Magazine and many more.</p>
<p><strong>4. Outsource your article submission needs to a virtual assistant – </strong>Most virtual assistants will just use the article submission software. Or they’ll just target 10 to 15 article directories. They do not have the knowledge nor the experience to format your articles for maximum readability. They do not know how to optimize the articles so you get found on the search engines. And, they do not know how to add direct response copy writing so your article packs a powerful, emotional punch. They’re just after building links. If that’s what you want – then great. However, I suggest you first read this article on “Why article marketing is not just about link building?”</p>

<p>Believe it or not – you must continue to educate clients with content marketing after they buy your products and service. You must integrate article marketing, video marketing, blogging, social media marketing, press release marketing and email marketing into your post-sale process. <span id="more-851"></span></p>

<li>Lack of education can create a mismatch between the value offered and actual delivery which leads to a lack of confidence. For example, before I started my content marketing firm &#8211; Article Marketing Experts – I had a PR firm with martial arts clients. I generated major press coverage in newspapers, magazines and even on TV. UPN 9 News (a major TV station in the Tri-State area) even did a story on one of the karate schools that worked with a student who has Down Syndrome – even though most schools would not accept him. <h2><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Here’s How Some of the Top Companies Add a Sticky Factor</strong> <strong>That Guarantees Longer Client Retention…</strong></span></h2>
<p><strong>1. Create an industry success system that all clients receive when they invest in your services. </strong>For example, when you sign up for PR LEADS at <a href="http://www.getprhelp.com/">http://www.getprhelp.com</a> , you receive a 2 month e-course (which he calls his PR LEADS Success System.) In this system, you get tips and resources that will help you better use his services. He shows you what to do once you receive publicity so you get a better ROI. You may  even want to think about having a group just for your clients (along with a group that you use for prospects.) Inside your clients-only group, you’d provide exclusive content for them and create discussions based on their needs. <p>When my mom was diagnosed with both pancreatic and colon cancer, my dad changed his work status from full-time to part-time at the print shop where he was employed. When she passed away he continued to work just part-time until his boss phased him out.</p>
<p>Now, that I am married and have my wife and near future children (as we plan on trying for kids shortly) to worry about &#8211; and since my brother has practically moved in with his girlfriend, my dad needed to find a job as he wants to keep the house for a bit. So, my brother showed him how to use the different job sites and how to send his cover letter.</p>
<p>He finally received a job interview with a company that provides security to hospitals and nursing homes in the area. So he asked me to create a resume to bring with him to the interview &#8211; and of course, I gladly took the time for my dad. He gave me a whole ton of wasteful information that describes the presses he worked on and other tasks he completed like bindery. <span id="more-843"></span></p>
<h2><strong>Why Do I Call The Information My Dad Gave Me a Waste!</strong></h2>
<p>As I explained to my dad when he asked me &#8211; &#8220;Why did you leave the info out?&#8221; &#8211; It&#8217;s a security company. They don&#8217;t care about what presses you worked and the tasks you completed as a pressman. It does not show how he can help the company &#8211; and how they will benefit by hiring my dad.</p>
<p>So here&#8217;s some information I did include in his resume:</p>
<ul>
<li>His martial arts experience &#8211; My dad is green belt and both my brother and I are 5th degree black belts who have been in the martial arts for close to 24 years. So that is a lot of time that my dad spent in the dojo &#8211; so he knows how to protect himself and others if a situation should arise. That&#8217;s important when it comes to security, don&#8217;t you think?</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail – I mentioned as he was  head pressman, my dad was responsible for 100% quality assurance, which means he needed laser eye focus for fallacies. As a security professional don&#8217;t you need to be observant? So, this is important.</li>
<li>Outstanding social communication skills – I explained how my mom, my grandma  and my grandpa were all in treatment centers, nursing homes and hospices because of cancer and old age.  I explained how while visiting them, how my dad  also interacted with the other patients – and was able to connect with the most difficult patients that even the nurses were unable to connect with. Now, he volunteers and work with them on a weekly basis. Isn&#8217;t this an important element if my dad works in a hospital or nursing home?</li>
<li>Interacted with clients to fulfill their need of conceptualizing, creating and printing their content &#8211; This again reiterates my dad&#8217;s communication skills.</li>
<li>Managed a client base of 25 large business customers including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Elizabeth Water Company, Sprint, and Union County College &#8211; This shows my dad&#8217;s professionalism.</li>
<li>Matched or detected differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness &#8211; This shows my dad&#8217;s attention to detail which is important to security.</li>
</ul>
<p>This was just some of the responsibilities and related skills and experience bullet points that I put into my dad&#8217;s resume. Notice, how every bullet point shows how the company can benefit by hiring my dad for the security position. And, guess what &#8212; it worked! My dad was hired on the spot!</p>
<h2>Now What Article Writing and Article Marketing Lesson Can You Learn From This Story&#8230;</h2>
<p>Your article content must match your targeted audience. If you submit content to a LinkedIn group &#8211; you must demonstrate how your content matches that group&#8217;s specific audience. If you are submitting an article to a niche website, blog, online publication or magazine &#8211; you must remove all generalizations. Identify your audience. Add examples and stories that niche&#8217;s audience can relate to. Show how that specific audience can benefit from the information, advice, tips and tools you provide.</p>
<p>And, don&#8217;t forget to demonstrate within your articles that you know the audience and understand their unique challenges, goals, needs, desires, problems and fears.  Your readers need to know that you have worked with people just like them &#8211; and that you can help them with their very specific problems and needs. They need to see that what you have to offer &#8211; is what they need.</p>

<p>Now, these may be conversation starter. They may be following the advice of many social media experts that tell you to quote people and ask conversation starting questions like: “What is your favorite dessert?” These types of conversations may generate more comments- and get you more friends. But is it really helping your business?</p>
<h2><span style="color: #800000;">Why Focusing on Conversations Will Not Bring You New Business…</span></h2>
<p>How is posting a comment like: “What are your top 5 favorite things about summer” going to help a realtor get more leads? You may get 100 people commenting on their favorite things, but it doesn’t build credibility, sales and business relationships. It doesn’t show me why I should go to you for my real estate needs if I am looking to buy or sell a house in that realtor’s area. It doesn’t differentiate you from your competition.</p>
<p>Yes – LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook are “social” marketing tools. But that doesn’t mean that you stray away from providing content that adds value to people’s lives and businesses.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>Here’s How the Top 5% Are Making Money Using Content and Social Media</strong></span></h2>
<p>Don Crowther just put out a video revealing that the top 5% who are making the most money on social media builds relationships by initially delivering a steady stream of highly-relevant, highly-informative, high-value content. Then they engage in conversations by answering questions and responding to feedback.</p>
<p>The top 5% do not initiate conversations. That creates a deviation from your targeted audiences’ business needs – and it doesn’t give you the business relationship you need to get more clients and sales.</p>

At the end of the blog post, they encourage conversation based on the information they had provided. And they add a call-to-action to learn more whether it means grab their free information or invest in one of their products or services</li>

<li>Wowing prospects with the information they provide and encouraging prospects to discuss what they had learned. That’s why many internet marketers are now encouraging prospects to comment on their squeeze pages (using Facebook) and on their pages where they offer valuable information.</li>

<h2><span style="color: #800000;"><strong>By Focusing on Providing Quality Content in Your Area of Expertise Followers Will See You As:</strong></span></h2>

<li>Someone to respect</li>
<li>Someone to listen to</li>

<p>Now, what kind of conversations are you going to engage in? Social conversations like, “What are you doing today?” or social business conversations based on your content that positions you as a thought leader.</p>
<p>Your answer will depend on if you get more “friends” or more clients and customers.</p>
