How to Submit Articles – And What You Can Expect
Most beginners make the mistake of expecting immediate results when they first start submitting articles.
They submit one or two articles, then say, “Now I should be able to tell if this is working.”
And when they don’t see a huge transformation in their website statistics, they conclude, “This isn’t working.”
This is the wrong approach–when you are marketing your website, you need to take a long term view of things.
I’m trying to keep the information in this post as simple as possible, so I won’t go into the technicalities of why it takes as long as it takes to make a dramatic influence on your website traffic. I will tell you, however, that it usually takes several months of consistently submitting articles before you see tangible results.
Why do so many people do article marketing when the results aren’t immediate?
The answer is very simple:
Because article marketing works reliably when you do it correctly.
As marketing tools go, article marketing is extremely cost effective and user friendly, and if you do it correctly the results are predictably good. And, if you submit articles to top, targeted websites and ezines that increase your credibility, over time — you will become known as the thought leader in your industry.
For example, technology expert Dani Kaplan had his best year in 29 years of business because he started writing articles and getting them published on sites like About.com. He then sent the articles to key IBM executives. He soon became known as a technology distribution expert — and became one of IBM’s top resellers!
