Article Marketing Lead: Parenting & Home Finance Experts Get Published

Parents for Parents Magazine just sent me this email:
We would love some submissions from our contributors for the Laughing Out Loud, Some Guidance and Recipe sections for our Fall 2008 issue.
For our Laughing Out Loud section, please send us any funny moments or pictures. This can include funny incidents, funny situations, funny things your child has said, etc.
For our RECIPE section - recipes must take 20 minutes or less for prep time, must be healthy, kid-tested and liked! The submitter’s name, bio and photo (if you wish) will be listed with the recipes. We will send you a $10 via Paypal if your recipe is accepted for publication. Please send recipes by June 20, 2008.

Also – just a review of our Fall ’08 Topic and writer guidelines below.
Currently, we are accepting articles for Finance Tips and Tools for Parents. We are looking for articles on personal experiences, things that work for you and your family, not general advice.
Another option is to submit an article for our Bonus Section that features short stories, essays, artwork, and editorials. These submissions do not have to be on the issue topic.
As a token of our appreciation for your contribution, if your article is accepted for publication for the Finance Tips and Tools for Parents topic, we will send $50 to you via Paypal. For a published work for the Bonus Section, we will send $20 via Paypal. Not all contributions will be accepted for publication. Submitted articles may be edited. Parents for Parents™ retains all rights to contributions accepted for publication. The published article will include your name, your bio and your photo (optional).
The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2008. Here are the instructions:
The Finance Tips and Tools for Parents article should be between 800 to 2000 words in length. The Bonus Section article should be between 500 to 1500 words (of course, if it is artwork then this does not apply!). Please include the following as you email your submission to info@MotherofTwosGuide.com:
- Article itself as a word doc attachment. Please indicate if it is for Finance Tips and Tools for Parents or Bonus Section. In the same word attachment, please include a brief bio. Most bios include the writer’s name, state of residence, number of children he/she has, occupation and/or his or her hobbies. If you would like to be anonymous, you can omit your name and just list state of residence. Please include your full name in the word-doc file name.
- If submitting artworks for the Bonus Section, the file should be in .jpg format. Please include your full name in the .jpg file name.
- Photograph of yourself (optional) as a .jpg file. Please include your full name in the .jpg file name. We can work with both black and white and color photographs.
We will notify you by August 31, 2008 if your article is accepted for publication along with the e-gift card information. Again, not all contributions will be accepted for publication. Submitted articles may be edited. Parents for Parents™ retains all rights to contributions accepted for publication.
